There are many wonderful reef dives only short boat rides from shore including a great wreck dive on the C56 ex US Navy patrol boat which has coralised well and home to many large pelagics. Easily accessible are also the famous Riviera Maya cenotes and caves some close by where no tourists go where the family can picnic while you dive
